Welcome to Pinecone Branch, a cozy town nestled in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. Full of animals, caffeine by the gallon and a touch of magic, it’s here where successful nature photographer, coffee addict and food enthusiast Shelby Hannigan is called back to her family’s animal rescue, Pinecone Branch Animal & Wildlife Sanctuary or PAWS for short. Soon after her return, a dead body is found at PAWS, right next to Henry the black bear’s exhibit sparking an investigation. Shelby knows she needs to help figure out this murder in order to clear the facility’s name, and Henry’s. She finds herself teamed up with a charming co-worker, fellow foodie and animal devotee. Together, can they make heads or tails of this unfortunate situation? Or will they bear-ly make all the connections to save the sanctuary?
